Many experiences have led Scott down the path he is on today doing healing work. After earning his degree in Natural Resource Management from Oregon State University and working in that field for a time, he has sought a healthier, balanced life. He has traveled, hiked, paddled and camped over a large portion of the United States. During such time he explored, wrote extensively in a journal, captured great images with his camera, discovered new music, met new people and developed a heightened self awareness and interconnectedness to others. As a result, Scott decided he wanted to work closely with and help people. This led him to seek healthier habits and discover alternative healing modalities that he is passionate about. Scott has been a trained massage therapist since 2004. He is also a very dedicated father of two smart and beautiful girls. His passion for massage shows in his work. He has accomplished many healing or "life changing" moments through his massage techniques. With his extensive training and development of skilled and intuitive techniques practiced during 7000+ massages through his career, he has been able to achieve many positive health improvements for his clients. Many of whom say afterward that it was "the best massage they have ever had." Whether it is correcting a bad case of sciatica, plantar fascitis, tennis elbow, or alleviating migraines, his approach to massage is- seeing the body as one whole connected system and when there is pain or difficulty with movement, there is usually a source or root cause. Scott aims to get to the root of a physical problem. Often there will be multiple bodywork techniques used in one of his massage sessions. He may use myofascial release, deep tissue massage, acupressure, trigger point therapy, reiki, reflexology and other techniques to work with different branches of healing for his clients. His presence is also very safe and calming and he can give an amazing relaxing, stress relieving massage and has been known to help release emotional tension as well. Let Scott's healing hands do the work for whatever type of therapeutic massage you need since he customizes each massage for you!
